When we can talk about our feelings they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary

RHYAN KUBICK, COUNSELING INTERN
In order to be successful, therapy should be a collaboration between the client and the therapist. Because of this, I work diligently to build rapport and trust from the initial encounter with honesty and openness. Through working in hospital and domestic violence settings, I have found the key to helping individuals and families through crisis is providing a safe and calm presence to foster trust. I have experience working with a wide range of families, couples, and individuals including immigrant/refugees and with the LGBTQ+ populations.
Currently, I am in my final year of the Masters in Counseling program at the University of Missouri Kansas-City, specializing in Couples and Families.
The intern rate is 40.00 per session and cannot be billed to insurance.
Rhyan is completing her student internship under the license of a University of Missouri Kansas-City program supervisor and is supervised by Nathan D. Croy, LCMFT (KS#2791), LCAC (KS #00760), and LMFT (MO #2021036987).
