To be tested is good. The challenged life may be the best therapist.

KRISTINE AVELLUTO, MASTER LEVEL SOCIAL WORKER
Do you ever feel lost, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next step? Are you facing the pain of losing someone or something important to you? Maybe you’re surrounded by people yet still feel alone, or you’re simply exhausted by the negativity that keeps showing up in your life. If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone and you don’t have to navigate your pain alone.
You are the author of your story. Even if your past is filled with hurt, your future doesn’t have to be. Healing is possible. Meaning is possible. Change is possible. Together, we can explore who you are, what you’ve been carrying, and how the power of your thoughts can help you create a life that feels purposeful and grounded.
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and am currently completing the supervised experience and requirements needed to become clinically licensed. I focus on working with adolescents and adults. If you’re navigating substance use, anger, anxiety, ADHD, depression, grief and loss, OCD, PTSD or trauma, attachment or codependency, or religious and spiritual confusion, I have experience supporting clients through these challenges. My goal is to walk alongside you as you process the past, make sense of the present, and build a future that feels empowering and authentic.
My background includes extensive work with children, teens, and families in school settings, with individuals involved in or at risk of entering foster care, and with clients navigating a wide range of personal challenges. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also incorporate additional supportive approaches including somatic based strategies, anger management skills, grief support, stress management, and trauma informed care. For clients who request it, I integrate Christian faith perspectives into the therapeutic process.
Taking the first step toward therapy is both brave and transformative. I’m here to make that step feel a little easier. If you’re ready to begin, or if you just have questions, I’d love to connect with you.
