To be tested is good. The challenged life may be the best therapist.

KRISTINE AVELLUTO, MASTER LEVEL SOCIAL WORKER
Are you a young teen, adult, and/or parent who often feels lost? Are you close to losing someone or something you care about? Are you tired of all the negativity in your life? Do you often find yourself feeling lonely in a crowded room? Well, you’re not alone! You are the author of your life. While you’ve had so much happen to you, the story of loss doesn’t have to be your story forever. You can heal the past, deal with today and create a life full of purpose and meaning, starting now. Positive changes in your life begin by learning about yourself and the true power of your thoughts.
I enjoy working with adolescent youth and young adults aged 12-35. If you’ve been struggling with addictive behaviors or substance abuse, anger, anxiety, ADHD, depression, grief or loss, OCD, PTSD or trauma, attachment and/or codependent behaviors, religious or spiritual confusion; then you are the person I was meant to help. Let’s go on a journey together to heal the past, find meaning in it and empower your future.
I have extensive history working with children and families through the school system, with families involved or nearly involved with, foster care, and with individuals. My approach draws from several evidence-based approaches: Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Anger Management, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Grief Counseling, Somatic Therapy, Christian Counseling, Stress Management and Trauma-Informed Care. I look forward to working with you! Taking the first steps towards therapy can be both challenging and brave. I am here to support you on this journey. Please feel free to reach out to me to schedule a session or discuss any questions that you might have. I look forward to working with you.
