Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is reach out your hand and let someone walk with you.

WENDY MEDINA, MASTERS OF SOCIAL WORK INTERN

About Wendy

I've been dedicated to the field of victim services for the last eight years. I possess a passion for walking with individuals through the darkest times, engaging with victims and survivors of trauma and first responders. Providing trauma informed care is my priority. I have extensive training in the neurobiology of trauma and crisis intervention. I have the pleasure of serving as the instructor of domestic violence and trauma-informed-policing at a metro police academy. I am currently earning a Masters of Social Work Degree with a Clinical Specialization at the University of Kansas, and completing practicum at Existential Family Therapy. I specialize in dynamics of domestic violence, immigration & refugee experience, and vicarious trauma to first responders. I have a heart for advocacy and ensuring you do not go through hardship alone. As a therapist intern, it is my wish to help you create a path to live the life you deserve: one that is safe, happy, and full of hope. I’m a believer in fostering healthy relationships and deep connections. I am bilingual-Spanish.

Habló español y me especializo en temas de violencia doméstica, migración, y trauma / victimización. Me dedico a acompañarte durante los tiempos más difíciles y asegurarte que no estás solo(a), para que puedas crear una vida feliz, saludable, y llena de esperanza.
