As a licensed master's level social worker, my therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, understanding, and collaboration, with a deep respect for each individual’s lived experience. I have experience in supporting individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, communication breakdowns, adjustment to life transitions, boundary issues, chronic illnesses, and LGBTQIA+-related concerns. 

My work is rooted in trauma-informed care, with an emphasis on safety, empowerment, and autonomy. To create individualized and holistic interventions that meet clients where they currently are in their journey and create individualized goals to achieve desired outcomes, I integrate a range of evidence-based frameworks, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based practices, attachment theory, person-centered care, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). This integrative approach allows me to meet clients where they are, honor their internal systems and values, and support meaningful, sustainable change.

I aim to create a safe, nurturing, and nonjudgmental space where individuals, couples, and families can explore their thoughts, emotions, and patterns with curiosity and compassion. My guiding principle is: “Empathy is the bridge that connects us to others’ experiences.” I am deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those I serve and feel honored to walk alongside clients on their healing journeys.

Destinee's self-pay rate is 150.00 per session with sliding scales available. She also accepts the following insurances:
